What is the U Street Music Fest mission?
Support underground and alternative artists by providing a platform for self-expression, community building, and street art discovery.
What is the goal of the crowdfunding?
With a primary focus on paying/providing a stipend to BIPOC artists who enrich New York’s diverse, inclusive, and vibrant culture.
The U Street Music Festival organizing collective is raising funds for the musicians and for all the artists, creatives, and organizers that make up the multicultural and alternative music community.
What is the goal of the organizing committee with the fest?
To foster collaboration between like-minded individuals and organizations supporting the independent and underrepresented music communities in Brooklyn.
What is the objective and commitment with the community?
To provide a discovery platform for multicultural and non-commercial musicians, record selectors, and street artists.
How are the funds are being allocated?
We aim to pay all artists, creatives, and community organizations for their work.
To keep The U Street Music Fest free, participating artists will receive an amount of the funds raised after covering the production costs.
The more we raise funds, the more we can support participants; anyone can donate their talent if they want to.
